SARPA AASAN (SNAKE POSE)

Type of Aasana : Basic/Intermediate

Basic Position :
Viparit Shayan Stithi i.e. Lying on the stomach . Legs Joined to each other at knees and also at foot and placed on floor. Palms next to buttocks facing downwards . Chin on the floor. Sole of feet facing the sky. This is basic Viparit Shayan Stithi.


How to do the Aasana :
1.Put fore head touching the floor
2.Put both your hands  behind the back and clasp together and lock fingers.
3. Lift  neck chin chest as high as possible and stretch your clasped hands at the back as much possible.   Retain position for some time like 5 sec count Om1 ,Om2 like this... Then lower it.
4. Do five rounds .
5.Remember do not raise any portion below the waist. It always touches the ground throughtout the aasan.
