Type of Aasana : Basic/Intermediate
Basic Position : Dand Stithi ; Standing erect position. Legs joined at feet and Knees. Trunk and Back Straight . Basically standing straight and erect on ground.
How to do the Aasana :
- This comes into the category of balancing aasans as you have to balance the whole body on one foot at at time.
- Lift your right leg and put it on left thigh as high as possible from inside.
- Complete sole of right feet should be in contact with left thigh with fingers of right feet pointing downwards towards to floor.
- The body posture should be straight. Do not bend the knee forward or backward.
- In final position the right knee is exact sideways with right foot sole in complete contact with left thigh as high as possible from inside.
- Now raise both arms high above the head such that the shoulders touch the ears and do namaskar with both hands.
- This is final position
- Try to be still and composed in this position. as much as possible.
- Repeat with left leg
- This is one round.
- Do such 5 rounds.
