Type of Aasana : Basic / Intermediate
Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down .
How to do the Aasana :
- take distance between legs as much as possible.
- raise both arms at shoulder level from side wise so that they are parallel to ground.
- Inhale and move right hand down and touch the left foot. At the same time left hand will go further left .
- Keep looking at left hand.
- Exhale and return to normal position.
- Repeat with the left hand touching the right toe. and eyes looking at right hand which has gone further back.
- This is one round
- do such 10 rounds
- initially do slowly. then slowly increase the speed over a period of 10 to 15 days.
- Sync between respiration and body movement is critical to benefits of this aasan.
Breathing :Inhale while moving towards toe . And exhale while moving to normal position .
