DHANUR AASAN (BOW POSE)

Type of Aasana : Intermediate / Advanced 

Basic Position :
Viparit Shayan Stithi i.e. Lying on the stomach . Legs Joined to each other at knees and also at foot and placed on floor. Palms next to buttocks facing downwards . Chin on the floor. Sole of feet facing the sky. This is basic Viparit Shayan Stithi.


How to do the Aasana :
1.Bring knees close to and above the buttock at some height. Not catch both knees with respective hands stretched at back.
2. Now lift the neck head and chest and thigh so that now the feet and head are at same level and entire body is now balanced onthe front side of stomach. This is final position.
3. Remember arms should be straight in the final position and you should look as much upwards as possible.
