SPHINX AASAN

Type of Aasana : Basic/Intermediate

Basic Position :
Viparit Shayan Stithi i.e. Lying on the stomach . Legs Joined to each other at knees and also at foot and placed on floor. Palms next to buttocks facing downwards . Chin on the floor. Sole of feet facing the sky. This is basic Viparit Shayan Stithi.


How to do the Aasana :
1.Put fore head touching the floor
2.Bend elbow so that the palms are next to chest and close to chest .
3. Lift your chin, chest upwards by using shoulder  . Arms remain flat on the floor , Elbow should be touching the floor .   
4.Look Straight
5. Remember thigh and hips always remain on floor. Forearm palms remain on the floor.
6. Remember that the sole of feet is facing the sky. And legs are not locked.
