Type of Aasana : Warm-up / Beginners
Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down.
How to do the Aasana :
- Keep Right Knee on left Thigh
- Hold right ankle firmly with left hand. It should not move
- Hold right knee with the right hand
- Move the right knee upwards towards chest . Inhale while doing this.
- Then while exhaling move the right knee down towards the floor push gently and try to touch to the floor.
- Similarly repeat for left hip.
Breathing : Inhale while moving upward Exhale while moving downward.
Variations :
Clasp both hands on the feet and then move the knee.
