Viparit Shayan Stithi i.e. Lying on the stomach . Legs Joined to each other at knees and also at foot and placed on floor. Palms next to buttocks facing downwards . Chin on the floor. Sole of feet facing the sky. This is basic Viparit Shayan Stithi.

How to do the Aasana :
1.Put fore heah touching the floor
2.Bend elbow so that the palms are next to chest and close to chest .
3. Lift your chin, chest upwards by using most of the trunk muscles . Arms remain folded at elbow. They are just there to support. Dont support much by arms.Even if you lift arms arms in air position should not change. This is critical to this aasan.   Look upward like a cobra.
4.Try to lift as much as possible.
5. Remember thigh and hips always remain on floor.
6. Remember that the sole of feet is facing the sky. And legs are not locked.
