EYE EXERCISES

Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic 


Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down.


How to do the Aasana :
Note : In all aasans in this part neck should be fix and straight . 

Left and Right motion


  1. Raise Right arm in front of you at the shoulder height so that it is parallel to ground. Make fist with thumb outside and pointing towards sky. 
  2. Your both eyes should follow movement of your Right Arm thumb.
  3. Slowly move thumb to the right .
  4. Then bring it  back to centre position . 
  5. Similarly do for  left. 
  6.  Do 5 rounds each. 


Up and Down motion


  1. Raise Right arm in front of you at the shoulder height so that it is parallel to ground. Make fist with thumb outside and pointing towards sky. 
  2. Your both eyes should follow movement of your Right Arm thumb.
  3. Slowly move thumb upwards  .
  4. Then bring it  back to centre position . 
  5. Similarly bring downwards then to centre position. this completes one round.
  6. Similarly do for left 
  7.  Do 5 rounds each. 
Eyes  Rotation motion :



  1. Raise Right arm in front of you at the shoulder height so that it is parallel to ground. Make fist with thumb outside and pointing towards sky. 
  2. Your both eyes should follow movement of your Right Arm thumb.
  3. Slowly move  in circular manner to make large circle viewed from front. .
  4. Similarly do for left 
  5.  Do 5 rounds each. 

Blinking of Eyes  :
  1. Blink continueously rapidly 10 times. Then wait for 10 seconds.
  2. Again repeat 2-3 times.
Palming of eyes : 

  1. Do action as if you are washing both hands. This will create friction between two hands and then it will become warm.
  2. Close eyes.
  3. Put the hands over the closed eyes.
