KEHUNI NAMAN (ELBOW BENDING)

Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic


Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down . 

How to do the Aasana : 

  1. Bend right arm elbow such that Put right hand fingers on right shoulder
  2. Similarly for left hand left hand fingers on left shoulder.
  3. Straighten  elbow so that now both arms are straight at shoulder height with palms facing roof or sky
  4. Eyes should be closed throughout
  5. Always remember when arms are straight they should be parallel to ground at shoulder height. This is very critical to this aasan.

Breathing :Inhale while straightning . And exhale while bending .


Variations :

  1. Individual hands
  2. Both hands at same time 
  3. Hands on the side parallel to ground as starting position
  4. Hands straight above the head and palm facing backwards as starting position.
