MATSYA KRIDA AASAN (FISH PLAYING POSE )

Type of Aasana : Basic/Intermediate

Basic Position :
Viparit Shayan Stithi i.e. Lying on the stomach . Legs Joined to each other at knees and also at foot and placed on floor. Palms next to buttocks facing downwards . Chin on the floor. Sole of feet facing the sky. This is basic Viparit Shayan Stithi.


How to do the Aasana :
1.Put clasp hands and put under the right ear so that you are now looking at left.
2.Bend left leg at knee and hips so that knee is very close to chest.
3. Keep your hands clasped but change the angle such that left elbow touches left knee as much as possible or is near to it.
4.Rmember this is relaxation aasan.
5. Do on the right side also to maintain balance always do exercises on both sides.

Breathing :Normal Relaxed and be aware of your breath.


Variations :
Right hand you can remove from under the ear and place next to right buttok with palm facing upwards and theleft hand also you can remove from under the head to any relax position but palm of left hand should face downward only.
