Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic
Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down .
How to do the Aasana :
- This is one of basic and easy aasan for meditation. It should be used beginners.
- Bend left knee and put the leg such that sole of left leg touches interior most part of right thigh.
- Bend the right knee and put right foot above the left thigh.
- Body should be straight throughout and adjusted for relaxation
- Mudra should be dhyan or chin mudra.
- Elbow can be bent in order to give relaxation to arms.
- imagine a divine light in between your eyes.
Caution : Should not be done by people with sitica.
Benefits : Bones and joints become relaxed because of
pressure of spine on its lower part.
