Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic


Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down . 

How to do the Aasana : 

  1. This is one of  basic and easy aasan for meditation. It should be used beginners. 
  2. Bend left knee and put the leg such that sole of left leg touches interior most part of right thigh.
  3. Bend the right knee and put right foot above the left thigh.
  4. Body should be straight throughout and adjusted for relaxation
  5. Mudra should be dhyan or chin mudra. 
  6. Elbow can be bent in order to give relaxation to arms.
  7. imagine a divine light in between your eyes.

Caution : Should not be done by people with sitica.
Benefits : Bones and joints become relaxed because of pressure of spine  on its lower part.
