VYAGHRA AASAN (LION POSE)

Type of Aasana :  Intermediate./ Advanced.


Basic Position : Vajrasan 

How to do the Aasana : 

  1. Start from taking normal vajrasan pose
  2. Now raise your buttok and place hands comfortably so that both hands and both knees support trunk. Its like a cat standing on knees and hands. Rememver cat has her back curved  upwards so should you.
  3. This is begening position of marjari aasan . 
  4. Now straighten right leg so that it is parallel to ground. Inhale while doing this.
  5. now fold right leg in the knee so that it is as close to thigh as possible. Do antarkumbh.
  6. now fold the right hip backwards such that the sole of foot touches the head over the back. of course head should be taken back as much as possible .In this position back will be curved downwards  Do antarkumbh.
  7. Now while exhaling straighten again the leg and now bend  knee and hip inwards so that knee touches the forehead under the chest .i.e move ineck and head towards chest. Back will be cured upwards in this position. 
  8. Similarly repeate for left leg
  9. This is one round.
  10. Do such 3 rounds.
