Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic
Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down .
How to do the Aasana :
- Put both hands under the right thigh and hold the thigh .
- Bend the right knee so that the it comes close to the chest. (Exhale while you do this.)
- Now straighten keeping the hands intact under the thigh . (Inhale while you do this .)
Breathing :Inhale while straightning . And exhale while bending .
Variations :
- Individual Knees
- Both knees at the same time. Only in this case bending motion and straighting motion hands can be left hanging . So bending and straighting can be done by leg muscles itself and not using hands.
