How to do the Aasana :

  1. Shaithalya means calm and relaxed and same is the objective of this aasan.
  2. Bend the right leg in the knee such that the sole of right foot touches left thigh.
  3. Now bend the left leg from the knee such that it is outwards and sole facing up next to the left buttock.
  4. Now do like in shashank aasan raise both arms inhale while doing this.
  5. While exhaling lower arms and back in front of right knee so that forehead touch floor in front of right knee.
  6. Remember do not stretch. If you are not able to touch forehead to floor then keep respiration normally and let body set loose at arms back and entire body should loosen up at each exhalation and finally your forehad will touch the floor without any stress or tension in any part of body.
  7. this is final position.
