CHAKKI CHALAN AASAN ( ROTATING THE CHAKKI POSE )

Type of Aasana : Basic/Intermediate

Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down.



How to do the Aasana : 


  1. Imagine that you are rotating heavy old chakki.
  2. Take 1ft distance between legs i.e spread legs apart.
  3. Clench hands together as if you have caught hold of chakki handle with thumb upwards. 
  4. Hands should be straight and arms should be straight parallel to the ground and in front of chest.
  5. This becomes the starting position.
  6. Take breath.Move forward to start making circle.
  7. Rotate hands such that they will make circle  looking from the top .  You should bend forward and backward as much possible to make big circle.

Breathing : Inhale while bending back and exhale while moving forward. 


Variations :
Seperate legs wide apart.
