Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic
Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down .
How to do the Aasana :
- Imagine that there is a rope in front of you at height. And in this aasan you have to pull rope by one hand at a time.
- Try to grasp the rope with right hand with thumb outside. Now pull down the imaginary rope till the knees. Eyes should follow the thumb of the moving hand.
- Now repeat with the left hand.
- This is one round
- Do such 5 rounds
- During entire aasan legs should be on ground and touching each other and back should be straight. This is important to the aasan benefits.
Breathing :Inhale while raising hand . And exhale while lowering or while bringing the rope down.
Variations :
