JANU CHAKRA (KNEE ROTATION )

Type of Aasana : Warm-up /Basic


Basic Position : Basic Position : Baithak Stithi. Both legs straight and joined .Hands at the back supporting the trunk palms facing down . 

How to do the Aasana : 

  1.  Put both hands under the right thigh and hold the thigh .
  2. Rotate the right knee so that it forms a cricle as big as possible  (Exhale while you do this.) Repate 5 rounds.
  3. Now repeat 5 rounds for left leg also. same procedure.
  4. Repeat in anticlock wise directions also 5 rounds each.

Breathing :Inhale while upward movement during rotation  . And exhale while downward movement during rotation .


Variations :

  1. Clockwise and Counter clockwise.
